Visiting my Aunt and Cousins

So yeah, my life has been tremendously boring lately, since I haven't gone to school for over six months now and my job is the most boring job there is, I'm a Team Leader in a Data Entry project, but I work in the night shift so there's hardly any work, but I use the time to do this thing, among others of personal interest, lol.

Anyway, last thursday I decided to pay a little visit to my aunt and cousins in El Paso, TX. My cousins have only been living there again for like a week, they were living in Las Cruces, NM, so that's why I couldn't visit them that often before. I swear I couldn't walk freely in their house because of so many shit lying all over the place because of the moving, and you should see Mari's bedroom, damn, talk about a messy room, but anyway, I didn't offer to help of course, so it stayed that way all day long. I got there at like noon, and Mari had just finished taking a shower, and Angelica & Chuy were still asleep, I mean, what the fuck is that!!!! I didn't spend an hour in the Juarez-El Paso bridge just to wait a little bit more, but my Aunt offered me something to eat, so it was worth the while, lol.

We (Marisol & Me) were supposed to go to the movies to see Die Hard with her friend Mundo, but she didn't know what time he got out of work, but she eventually found out he got out at like four or something like that, I don't remember, and we were going at 7, and it was barely like 2, so we had like four hours and didn't know what to do. Had it been another time, and all of their stuff wasn't lying around the house, we could've jammed a little bit, or played some Wii, but, no, no, no, Marisol took like 1 hour doing her hair, and I had to hold my little niece So(phia) (Angelica's daughter) and just walk around, because she started crying when I sat down, the good thing is that she's really small and not so heavy, and she laughs at my face... Mmm... I wonder why... But yeah, after that I helped Chuy (So's father) place a speaker of Angelica's home theater in the wall, and after like 30 minutes (damn screws were making it real hard, they were to short and those are the ones that came with the thing) we placed it, so we put some Dream Theater to test it was working and all that, and just to find out the speaker didn't work, FUCK!!!! I hate it when things stop working for no damn reason at all!!!! But yeah, they had to put a speaker of a stereo meanwhile.

So it was 6:15 and we had to leave at 6:30 to make it on time for the movie, and I was carrying little So (oh, what a surprise) but I had to eat, but everytie I put her in the couch or when I sat down she started crying and nobody else could hold her so I couldn't eat, finally my Aunt grabbed her and I had to eat in like 2 minutes. On our way there Marisol was all like "I don't know where the theater is, we're going to get lost", and yeah, I believed her, I mean, it's Marisol, lol, but we didn't get lost, and Mundo was there waiting for us. Ok, I'm not going to tell you about the movie, it's best for you to see it. So after the movie, we went to Wendy's but Marisol didn't want to drive her car (mmm, why would that be, what in the "World", lol, Mari will get it). So we got there and just started talking, and I had to leave at 11 so I could make it on time to work, I didn't know Mundo, but he's really cool, he's into prog metal and he plays guitar, cool dude. We left at 10:45 and for my surprise... yes... Marisol didn't know how to get back to her home, so obviously we drove the wrong way at first untill she realized it, but we got to her home on time and I made it to work, and that's the end of this, yup. You should watch Die Hard 4.

HELP! Tribute band to The Beatles

It's a saturday morning... well afternoon and my cousin wakes me up with a phone call, telling me that the biggest mexican Tribute Band is going to play at Parque Chamizal for an event called "Arte en el Parque" (yes, that's Art in the Park, lol), and it had been a while since I listened to Beatles music, and naturally I had to pick her up (which is why she called me) and four other cousins that were just waiting for me to approve so they could go and "babysit" them cause they're all like 10 years old.

We got there around 4pm, and just started walking and buying stuff, they even sold houses there, I don't know why, but I didn't care, but yeah, my cousin Claudia (the one that woke me up, and the one in the picture) bought a alcohol-free Piña Colada, and she had recently had a surgery, and she can't eat and drink a lot of things, but she said it was ok to drink the Piña Colada, so we let her. But like half an hour later she sat down and started telling us how she didn't feel good, but she just needed to rest a bit. After a while she got up and started walking towards me like a zombie or something, and telling me "take me home, I'm not feeling ok" and then she grabbed on to me cause she was about to fall, and I was just looking everywhere for help, untill this man went to get the paramedics that were there, but nothing major happened, she just neede to sit down and get some air, and drink some water, but after that I had to take her home, and then come back to see the main show.

When I got a band was playing and I slefishly kept thinking "damn, I missed the beggining", and took me like 20 minutes to find the rest of my cousins and a friend I had ran into and tagged along. They played for like 45 minutes more and I said "What??? That's it???? It's just 8 o clock!!!!!" untill I heard the singer say, "now stick around for the main show, they're just going to prepare and they'll come out", man, was I happy it was not over, cause they didn't play Let It Be, or Hey Jude or Yesterday (songs they simply have to play). The cool thing about the main band is that they dressed like The Beatles, and they were playing by periods of The Beatles records, they played for like an hour and a half, and of course they closed with Help, giving credit to their name.
